The reconversion of this historical school in a 24 bedrooms hotel in the heart of the village of Guéthary has been done in total respect of the original building soul. Understandably the covered playground has been preserved and turned out into a patio creating a natural link between rehabilitation and extension purposes
This historical building located Place Louis XIV, heart of St Jean de Luz has been deeply renovated. Structured around a central kitchen, 3 establishments have been created: a brasserie, a wine bar and a traditional restaurant, each of them offering its proper atmosphere with a great work of ceramic and glassware craftsmen.
This new villa stands in place of a former existing villa, in order to improve the southern orientation of the house and the perspective towards the overflowing swimming pool, the oak forest and the newly created pond.
The neo-basque architecture inspiration of this Chantaco area was the guide-line of this project.
The inside volumes in contrast with the outdoors style, have deliberately been worked out in spacious areas in a contemporary design.
This XIX th century traditional farmhouse local "Labourdine" style has been completely renovated. The wooden structures extensions are now widely opened to the landscape and, as well as the swimming pool, are oriented towards the landscape and the well-known local mountain "La Rhune".
The natural construction materials and heating system are eco-friendly as required by our customer.
This city house is widely opened on the garden but, in the previous arrangements , had no direct connection with the ground house. The evolution of the small volumes into an only spacious room including living rook / kitchen / entrance has allowed the connection between the housefront and the garden.
This family house, built on a mound, is perfectly integrated in the landscape thanks to various level gaps in outdoors and indoors fittings.
The designs were influenced by the choice of materials and volumes.

This old farm house located in the hills above Bidart enjoys an astonishing view on the gulf of Gascogne. The use of noble materials allowed a transition between expected minimalism and old farm house although a contemporary atmosphere emanates from the inside volumes.
